In this video I do a general warm up and some more complicated paltas before playing gat & tans. I then focused on some right hand exercises to help build up additional strength and improve that technique.

I am working to build up speed as my teacher wants me to play this at 200 beats per minute (BPM). Let’s see how fast I can get today!
I took my first sitar lesson on January 27th, 2012.
I’m also testing out my new camera and mic set up for live streaming.

I’m going to try and live stream every day this week as I went about 5 days without practicing sitar due to travel.
The audio is out of sync tonight, sorry about that. Live streaming is hard!
I think this is some of my best playing overall so feel free to listen in the background while you do other work.
I play some alap and then focus on gat and taans. My teacher gave me a goal of 200 beats per min. He thinks I can go faster now. Can I?
